The CASC is made up of nine board members and four officers. We are a very experienced group with various business backgrounds, but most importantly years and years of community involvement.
As the former Parker Arts Council, we have an established history of over 10 years in the community for bringing some of the finest community theatre and musical performances that enhance our area.
We are branching further out to the sciences by offering programs in local areas, and feature interested youth who want to enrich their minds. We’re looking to build our science programs up to be one of the leading programs in the state.
Within every community, there needs to be culture and cultural awareness. Our two fundraising programs bring just that to our communities. We have two celebrations each year that bring out the flavor of true cultural heritage.
Parker Oktoberfest: 10 Years of Tradition
September 18-20 , 2015. A Weekend to Remember
In celebration of German heritage and traditions, we will be celebrating our 10th Annual Parker Oktoberfest. The annual fundraising cultural event will feature live German music, Bavarian dancers, a Biergarten featuring three Paulaner beers – Hefeweizen, Oktoberfest Marzen, and Premium Pilsener, a number of competitions, and delicious German food.
Admission is free for our family-friendly German-themed festival. The event includes a number of fun activities for children, great things to do for adults, and is family friendly. We will also have kids rides including an obstacle course, bungee tramp, a slide and much more! The festival boasts unique vendors that are new to the festival this year and a variety of activities for children.
The 10th Annual Parker Oktoberfest will be held starting Friday, September 18, with sponsor appreciation from 6-10pm. Saturday, September 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We are looking to Parker Mayor Mike Waid to preside over the opening ceremony and mini-parade. There will also be an opportunity to meet the Colorado Council of Arts, Science and Cultures Miss Oktoberfest.
This year promises to be even more exciting than last with additional German entertainment, extra seating in a full size tent to see the bands, new activities for children, and the addition of our partnership with the German American Chamber of Commerce to co-produce the event will add to the authentic drive we anticipate to receive!
CASC Grows Its Cultural Fundraising Event
Mardi Gras III – Will Be Held Outdoors in 2016
CASC kicked off its 2015 season with its second year fundraising event, “Mardi Gras II” on February 14, 2015. The festive event this year drew three times the amount of people in attendance and was a complete success! The Marriott Hotel in Lone Tree is where we kicked off the event, with Cajun Style, music and dancing lasting until 10:00.
Next year we will introduce some fun and new additions to the event to keep it very interactive. Costume contests, feathers, beads and masks, live music, dancing, games, door prizes, live and silent auctions are just some of the activities in store! And our biggest move… it will become an outdoor event with heated tents, and Bourbon Street real appeal!
“We are expanding our reach as an organization and are very excited to be having our Mardi Gras events held in the growing city of Lone Tree. We anticipate that our reach will be well received and we look forward to bringing many of our organizational youth programs to this area.” states CASC President Jeff Fox.

Parker Wine Walks
Every fourth Friday during the Summer and Fall, the Parker Chamber hosts the local downtown Wine Walks which are heavily attended and amply festive! Enjoy wine tasting and discover the many shops and restaurants on Main Street and the live music spread around as provided by us, the Colorado Council of Arts, Science and Culture
Today’s youth is tomorrow’s talent. Join us the first Tuesday of every month as the talented youth from throughout the area converge on Takoda’s Bar and Grill to test out their pipes from a public location. Always a favorite, our youth karaoke night never fails to deliver a discovery of talent new, and improved each and every month.
We have sponsored science programs in the past ( Astronomy) and are presently looking to partner with local area science groups whom may need that added value that an organization can bring to help them grow! If you’re currently holding a program or would like to pitch us an idea for a Science based program, then please contact us at 303-261-8059.
